Tonight's Menu

Its feeding time again. Variety of food should satisfy my pet Snakes hunger, In a way, it a good thing to have few variety of food available to feed your pet Snakes, I just purchased those dwarf today from one of the blogger here. Thank you man. If you know who you are...Lol Cheap oh.

Dwarf Hamster

Sorry for all rodents lovers, All snakes are strict carnivores, which means they will only eat, and can only digest, animal flesh. There are no snakes which eat fruit, vegetables or other plant material. Will explain below why..

Reduced Pattern Ball

Het Ivory Ball

Mojave Ball

Butter Ball

Albino Ball

I can’t recommend a vegetarian snake because there is no such animal. They just do not exist.

Snakes, like cats and like dogs are obligated carnivores. In other words in order to live they must eat meat. Cats and dogs have their meat processed into more user friendly commercial chunks but it is still meat. A snakes knows instinctively it isn’t meant to eat vegetables and won’t.

If you want an animal that eats vegetables a snake is NOT the pet for you. There are several lizards that would be more appropriate and if you still want a snake but are unable to bring yourself to throw a living animal in with it then your only option is pre-killed or frozen/thawed, Either way you will be feeding the snake meat and not vegetables.

Green/Chinese Water Dragon

You guys must be wondering, What the earth are that animal pictures on my blogs header. Its a Green Water Dragon or Chinese water dragon, Much much cooler to own than Iguana if you ask me. Just look at the resemblance, It got the features almost like Iguana, where as Green water dragon was categorized under Agamidae family genus and iguana is categorized under Iguanidae family genus.

 Dragon I use to owned

Chinese water dragons can grow up to 3 feet in length for males and up to 2 feet for females Coloration ranges from dark to light green. Diagonal stripes of green or turquoise are found on the body, while the tail is banded from the middle to the end with green and dark brown. Their undersides are white, off white, very pale green, or pale yellow. Their throats can be quite colorful (generally yellow, orange, or peach), some with a single color, some with stripes. Adult males have larger, more triangular heads than females, and develop larger crests on the head, neck and tail. The tail nearly two-thirds of the entire body length, can be used as a weapon, for balance, and to assist swimming. Like many other reptiles the Chinese water dragon possesses a small, iridescent, photosensitive spot between their eyes referred to as the pineal gland (or colloquially as the third eye) that is thought to help thermoregulate their bodies by sensing differences in light to assist with basking and seeking shelter after sunset.  Since it recognizes differences in light, the pineal gland can also help the lizard avoid predation from birds and other aerial threats. Male water dragons can grow up to be around 6 feet. Females tend to be smaller. Seventy percent of their length is in the tail.(Source Wikepedia)

Animal Books

When ever or what ever animal you decide to keep as pet, I truly believe that somehow, you or anyone should at least carry some sort of research when deciding owning it. Wanting to keep animal is not something that is taken lightly, Just because your next door neighbor have Rabbit, so you must have one, Its not about competition, It about the animal well being.I know everyone will just say, they eat, sleep, groom, clean and so on and so on, But that itself wasn't enough for me, I always wanted to know everything in detail, well information, their history, character, Country of origin, choosing, feeding and care and etc. Every animal that I ever keep, raise, or interested in, or simply wanted to learn, Books is always the best thing I would turn to, Getting specified books regarding each species/breed for me is essential, One cant learn more by heart.

Animal book that I collected

Cats( I use to have few Persian and Himalayan, They die of old age)

One of my fav Dog Breed(Doberman Pinsher, I Have 5, two die of old age)

That who are experiences and who are amateur or newbie, Please, It about learning process, I have to say, I'm still lack in experience and knowledge in some animal species still. But I do know some but not all.
