Oh my god, my last post

Sadly to inform reader, this going to be last post for this year. So goodbye year 2009 and hello 2010. Year 2009 so far had been great. With the birth of my 1st daughter I couldn't ask for more from god how happy I'm in Year 2009 had been for me.

My Reptiles shows this year started from Yayasan school early 2009, then Qlap Mall Reptiles show, then Chung Hwa school Fun Fair and finally the DST carnival early December. Most of it I say are very encouraging response from the public with some people finally aware of this misunderstood creature. I saw few people started collecting this exotics creatures and begin their addiction in collecting this animals. My wish for this keeper is never give up in this hobby.

During this year too, I had rejected few invitation to participate in exotics animals showcase due to unforeseen circumstances. That was last June Penaga Highland Funfair, Agriculture expo last November and Mediahub Showcase this year. Hopefully Next Year if i was invited again I will try my best to participate.

Before I'm signing off for the new year. I Wish to share something: As the year ends. Don't count what you lost, Cherish what you have, forget the past, Planned and gained for upcoming year, the past can never be return but the future may still fulfill what you had loss.

Wishing everyone and their families. Happy advances new year with prosperous New Year 2010.

Milk Snakes

No Snakes keeper would be complete without having milk snakes in their collection, These remarkable beautiful milk snakes are beautiful, hardy and popular snake. The only disadvantages of having these snakes is their slightly nervousness and their need to privacy and seclusion. This Milk snakes Simply had too many subspecies, Among them are: Pueblan, Sinaloan, Honduran, Nelson, Mexican and etc etc..

Apricot Pueblan Milk snakes

I'm Breeding this above Pueblan Milksnakes for the 1st time this season, Hopefully I can get few more of this attractive pueblan.

I have keep few of this Milk snakes species myself. Some I keep it. Some are sold and some die of sickness. This milk snakes are commonly mistake by people of being a venomous coral snakes. Their mimicry likely to scare away a predator. A simple rhyme makes it easy to remember the order: Red on yellow kill a fellow. An alternative rhyme, yellow on red, you're are dead and red to black is your friends Jack. This rhyme method is to identify in the wild whether the milksnakes is venomous coral snake or harmless Milksnakes. So what you are waiting for? Go get yourself a milk snakes.

Peafowl

First of all before I started. Wishes all the blogger and reader an Merry Christmas for those that celebrated Christmas.

Peafowl is two species of bird in the genus PAVO of the pheasant Families. We been keeping and breeding peafowl for quite sometimes now. For sale or for display purpose. They consist of two type of peafowl. Indian Peafowl and Javanese Peafowl. Male peafowl are famous for it beautiful tails and whereas female peafowl usually brown in colors. Male are called peacock, the female peahen. Peafowl are gruesome and they do not mix well with other domestic pets and it utters unpleasant sound usually before rainfall. In the wild they sometimes eat a baby Cobra.

Pied peafowl

I might have confuse to name some genus of the peafowl. Javanese Peafowl are also called green peafowl. Javanese peafowl can be hybridize with an Indian Peafowl and create offspring call spauldings. The long ornamental feather, which the peacock display show magnificently before peahen in courtship, are not it true tail feathers but an elongated tails of the upper tail convert. In courtship, the tail convert are elevated to form a massive, lacy fan supported by behind by the unadorned tail feathers. So anyone that interested in keeping peafowl, I might have one baby. Not sure I'm selling it or not yet. But if the price is right I will sell it. Email me(for only serious buyer) if you interested, Be prepare to spend substantial amount of money coz I'm not selling it cheap.

In the same time, Few of our bird had also hatched, 6 already been transfer to big enclosure and 2 still left in the incubation room waiting for the birds to get strong and healthy .

Guess what bird is that? For those bird enthusiastic. U might have seen it before if u ever been to Agriculture expo last November. Few of those bird were on display there and my guess no one have it yet as private individual collector except maybe us in Brunei and maybe you also might have try it red meat. A very tasty low cholesterol meat. Happy guessing.

Hint: This bird is the symbol of a country coat of arms flag.

Hahahaha. Another day of my Ball python feeding day. Sorry rodents lover. Ball python got to eat to survive. I do not like to keep or breed this rodents, I usually purchases it on weekly basic. So can you imagine how many little friends they have to see all this time. Somehow. Dwarf hamster smell always make my ball python go wild crazy especially those ball python that on fasting mode.

Even captive bred ball pythons sometimes refuse to eat, fasting for a couple of months. As long as body weight and condition are maintained, this is not problematic. If your snake stops eating, carefully examine the husbandry, handling, health, and environment of the snake to make sure stress isn't the culprit. You may want to feed your snakes hamster or gerbil. You always wait for a few months if your snakes stop eating before assist feeding those ball and only if they lose a substantial amount of weight . In some case, assist feeding is the only option to getting ball python to eat, but should not be attempt unless you know what you are doing.

Burmese Python

Do you guy want to keep Burmese python? If yes, Can you manage to keep and give her with bigger enclosure when they reach adult size. Always think twice when getting Burmese python for pets. As a hatchlings Burmese python might look small and cute but with 2 to 3 years of ages this python grow very fast. Their huge size makes them both expensive to keep and potentially dangerous, so think first about committing to caring for a snake this size. It is not easy to find someone to take a large snake if you can no longer care for it. Owners have died due to handling mistakes with these snakes as well - they are not suitable for beginners.

Burmese pythons are generally considered quite docile especially compared to other large snakes. Hatchlings can be quite skittish but are usually quite readily tamed with consistent handling. Still, these snakes are huge and quite aggressive feeders, and they can inflict serious injury to their handlers and have been involved in several fatalities (due to owner complacency, ignorance, or error). A second person should always be present when handling or feeding constrictors over 8 feet long.

New Purchase and Tarantula Updates

It been a while since I last updates on tarantula I had purchased. Even though I'm not that crazy so much in Tarantula keeping as my addiction in Snakes keeping still have greater impact on my life. I did Somehow purchase another tarantula again at DST Carnival. It not that expensive compare to buying an designer snakes. So why not, Keeping and buying one more tarantula wont waste my time and making me poor anyway.

Mexican RedKnee
She grow Bigger now
Her color Showing up now

So I heard someone had bigger Tarantula than mine. So what? Im Still new in Tarantula keeping, infact its only been 6mths I think. Being the first purchased was the Mexican Redknee then Salmon pink after that then last month Rosehair and early this month Mexican Fireleg. If I can get it to size I believe so do everyone that keeping it. But Comparing Size from different species is kinda not fair. How do you compare Chihuaha dog VS Great Dane dog or Norwegian forest Cat VS local cat or Siberian Tiger VS Sumatran Tiger or Burmese VS Ball, Not fair right? It Should be with the same species. For Eg. Redknee Vs Redknee, Rose hair VS Rose Hair some thing like that.

Almost the same Size like before

Among the Tarantula that i owned, I say, I like the Mexican Species the most. They are beautiful creature if you ask me. Won't Mind to collect few more of that Mexican Species. I heard Mexican Flameknee, Mexican Orange beauty, Mexican Golden Redrump, Mexican Redleg and most of the Mexican Tarantula Species are one of the prettiest among the tarantula species and they are docile too. So If u have another of those Mexican Tarantula (Brachypelma) for sale. leave a message in my chat box or email me. Not too expensive I hope. PEACE
