Mexican Black KingSnake

The Mexican black king snake (a.k.a. black desert king snake), Lampropeltis getula nagrita, is a glossy solid black king snake from western Sonora and northwestern Sinaloa, Mexico as well as a small area in southern Arizona. Some neonates will have some lateral white spots that usually disappear as the snake grows larger. They are a slender king snake of medium length averaging three to four feet. Nagrita tend to be very docile king snakes and thus make excellent pets. They tend to be less nervous than California king snakes, which tend to bite and/or musk when handled as hatchlings.

Variable King Snake

You see here the comparison of California King Snakes (Lampropeltis getuta Califoniae) and Variable King Snake(Lampropeltis Mexicana Thayeri). Nagrita are closely related to common Milk snakes. They are very docile but aggressive feeders. Be sure to wash your hands before you handle hem as scent may cause them to bite. So are you ready to own a Mexican King Snakes now?
Please do research 1st before owning one, I'm not dis-encourages people not to own one. This is not hobby for just a few weeks, Snakes can live up to 15 years and above. If you find this hobby is costing more in terms of money and time than you can afford or that is not the hobby for you then be prepared to admits defeat and either reduce the number of animals to a level you can manage or give the hobby up altogether.
